Programs Officer (Volunteer Role)

About the Role

 

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Programs Officer to support the smooth running of WITI’s programs and activities. This is a vital role within the organization, as the program officer ensures that projects, events, and initiatives are executed efficiently and professionally.

The Programs Officer will represent WITI, particularly when the Executive Director is unavailable, and will act as the main point of contact for program-related matters. This role requires someone highly organized, confident in interacting with stakeholders, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining WITI’s standards and values.

We are looking for someone who is preferably an LBQ+ woman or a Gender Non-Conforming (GNC) individual, as this role involves close engagement with the communities we serve.

 

This role requires someone who is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of WITI’s programs and activities.

  • Handle logistical runarounds for events, workshops, and campaigns.

  • Act as a representative of WITI when the Executive Director is unavailable.

  • Serve as a key contact for partners, participants, and volunteers.

  • Support documentation, reporting, and feedback collection for programs.   

  • Assist in planning and improving organizational processes.
