WITI’s debut training program focused on equipping queer women with creative tech skills, confidence, and voice.
EmpowerHer Cohort 1 marked a foundational moment in WITI’s journey. It was our very first training, fully powered by the organization’s own resources, and a bold step toward digital inclusion for LBQ+ women in Nigeria.
Over three weeks (Nov 9, 2024–Nov 30, 2024), we trained 20 women in digital storytelling, Canva & graphic design, and digital security—all skills that build confidence and practical capacity in a tech-driven world. Through hands-on sessions, open conversations, and peer collaboration, participants explored how digital tools can amplify voice, visibility, and creative potential.
This cohort reminded us of what’s possible when intention meets action — and it continues to inspire the work we do every day.
